About Resort Outfitters
In the early 90s, newlyweds Duane and Darlene Zobrist, fresh from BYU’s master’s program, attended the British School of Falconry in Scotland and fell in love with the sport. Determined to bring it to the U.S., they founded the Falconry Academy in California in 1992. Recognizing a niche in exclusive resorts, they introduced their programs at The Greenbrier Resort in 1994, later expanding into bike rentals, kayaking, and team-building, including the addition of a high-ropes Alpine Tower in 1998. As demand grew, their business evolved beyond falconry, offering a range of outdoor adventures, corporate retreat programs, and children's camps. What began as a single-location falconry school developed into a thriving outfitting company serving premier resorts and communities across 5 states.

When she is not keeping Duane in check, Darlene loves spending time with her grandchildren in Colorado and utilizing her Master Gardener skills in her flower garden.
Daniel Muller VP-Eastern Operations
Daniel oversees all operations east of the Mississippi in West Virginia, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia. He loves spending time outdoors with his wife and 2 children.
Kurt Segerberg VP-Western Operations
Kurt oversees all operations west of the Mississippi, mainly located in Colorado Springs, CO. When not at work, Kurt loves to climb, bike, and shoot sporting clays.
